Our client is Northland’s largest supplier & integrator of Business Information Technology solutions. 

They are locally owned & operated and 2012 marks their 26th year serving clients in Northland.  

To continue to provide a high level of customer service and cope with increased demand for their services, our client is looking to fill the following position based in Kaikohe.  

We are seeking a customer focused, hardworking person to join the team as a Senior Systems Engineer.

You must be able to take on all jobs big or small with equal passion and commitment and be committed to delivering outstanding customer service at all times, and have the ability to advise and consult on technical design issues with sales staff and customers.

This will suit an experienced network engineer able to take on a senior “hands on” technical role.  

Desired Skills & Experience

  • You must have a proven work history with several years experience with TCP/IP, Microsoft W2K8 R2, AD, Exchange Server, SAN and Virtualisation Technologies. 
  • Preference will be given to candidates with MCSE, Cisco CCNA, Citrix CCEA, VMware and other IT Certifications.  

Ongoing study will be strongly encouraged and supported.

Junior Hardware Support Consultant

For the first few months you will be mentored and will have additional ongoing support and coaching from your Team Leader; there could be the opportunity to pursue technical certifications and qualifications.

  • Work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware faults
  • Provide a professional interface to clients, acting as their Single Point of Contact for their issues
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all clients
  • Consultation to external customers on networking, configuration, troubleshooting and administration
  • A trades certificate in Electrical Engineering (EWRB) preferred

You must be well organised and self motivated as the environment is fairly informal, with the emphasis on customer service and quality.
