Operations Manager - North of Whangarei

This forward thinking company has a rare opportunity for an Operations Manager; to run and manage their Logistics & Production business, ensuring they remain the Market leader in their field.

Responsibilitie:

• Provide overview support to the General Manager in all aspects of managing, running and shaping the future direction and vision for the company

• Actively support the growth plans for the business

• Developing and implementing internal quality control procedures

• All aspects of procurement and logistics

• Constantly looking for ways to improve efficiencies and service whilst reducing costs

• Ensuring the timely manufacture and delivery of goods • Ensuring high standards of Health & Safety in the workplace are present – including carrying out and reviewing risk assessments, keeping up to date with current legislation, implementing best working practices to minimise risks

• Support client activity in terms of programme management and operational delivery

• Support all billing, invoicing and revenue/contribution management

• Undertake specific projects aligned with Business Plans and growth activity.

• Managing a team , setting targets and assessing teams and/or individuals against these targets Key Skills:

• Excellent people skills including ability to client-face, robust, confident, personable and collaborative.

• Excellent business acumen, highly commercial and able to make financial issues clear and concise to non-financial/technical professionals.

Logistics and Production management experience is essential for this role as are well developed communication skills, both written and oral

This International Logistics Company is looking for a Transport and Production Scheduler for their friendly and high performing team, based here in Whangarei

• The main purpose of this role is to drive highly efficient outcomes for our client contractor operations and supply chain activity in a primary sector. A strong focus on minimizing plant down time and ensuring compliance with safe operational procedures is needed.

• We expect you to develop and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external customers; these will include forest harvesting and transport contractors. The proven ability to think quickly on your feet and offer robust solutions to a constant flow of problems being served up is crucial.

• This role is office based within a fast paced environment, where personal accountability and a practical common sense approach to solving problems is a must.

• The proven ability with MS Word and Excel at an intermediate to advanced level; with the skill to quickly pick up in-house systems is required.
